 The blaze had sprung from nowhere, engulfing such a large expanse of forest that it was imparative that all who could lend a hand help in extinguishing it. When both her and Keman had hurried towards the exit, she with her flute and he with nothing but a sense of purpose that shone from his face the matriarch of the place halted them.

"Where are you two going armed with naught but a flute? If to aid us in putting out this fire is your intent then take a shovel at the least. Though what use a flute might be....?

Keman shook his head silently, and allowed Immy to speak for them both.

"We do indeed intend to help you lady, though our weapons are not those commonly used for such a battle. Keman can call rain to quench the flames with his magic, and the flute is to help guide those trapped inside that inferno. There are many wild creatures that are surely panicking at the smell of smoke and the sight of flame. I'm a Bard, and can calm them enough to lead them to safety."

The woman nodded and hurried off, the explanation one that needed no further elaboration. Both elves took a different direction, hurrying into the woods that weren't currently flooded with smoke. Keman concentrated, and rain began to fall, lightly at first then harder and harder as he put more pressure into the spell. Bringing the flute to her lips she began to play, projecting her gift outwards towards the blaze, calling all of the wild creatures that were scared mindless. A thunder of hooves answered her first, followed by a flood of smaller creatures that parted around her and Keman but kept on racing towards the safety of the deeper forest. Neither she nor Keman felt the malevolent presence behind them, waiting patiently, biding his time.
