Subject: Has There Been A Dunk?

Just something to ponder for fun while we wait for season to continue, but in all the games so far, has one player actually dunked the ball? Who would have done it? (certainly Geoff, Marty, Alvin,MB, and Han could, but did they?) That should change quickly with Max and Mamadou coming on board!

The Stags are obviously not an inside-oriented team. 41% of their shots have come from behind the arc.

Amazingly, you would think that our opponents would be hammering us inside, but they are actually taking a higher percentage of three-pointers (43%) than we are.

Go figure.

I think that stat shows how we might have overcompensated for our struggles with the interior defense. However I do think those numbers are skewed because many of our oppoents 2-point shots are not counted as we have fouled our opponets. On the opposite end of the court we are not drawing enough fouls, hence all of our 2-point shots are counted.

We lead the MAAC in 3-point attempts and we lead the MAAC in 3-pointers made by a pretty good margin since we are one of teh tops in 3P-FG%...... Those are 2 pretty amazing statements that I have not said about a Fairfield team in a long time, if ever.
