The apartment was fairly decent... three bedrooms and a large lounge/kitchen, seperated by a breakfast counter, on which alcohol and mail were currently placed. Glass doors lead out onto a spacious balcony overlooking a pool shared by three other apartments in the complex. It was nice, especially considering the three who lived there.

The elegant, beautiful young woman made her way up the steps to the familiar beachside apartment, the three year old toddler climbing the steps infront of her, his dark hair and olive skin tones boasting his itialian heratige- already looking just as beautiful as his mother- and (though portia didn't often admit to it) his father. Adam was taking him for the day as Portia had a shoot that was supposed to last all day- She tried not to dump on him to much- and Leo had his own nanny and their family to watch over him while she was working- but she let Adam have him whenever he wanted and whenever he had time- without it effecting his own job too much. She had grown up alot siince she turned up here at seventeen with a year old baby and no clue what to do... and Leo was much more settled and happy here now. He was a complete daddy's boy, but adored his mother too. Portia helped Leo up the steps. knocking on the apartment door and brushing her long dark hair back from her face as they waited.

She probably wouldn't even be here if it weren't for the promise that she'd made to herself to do things for herself and let the rest go to hell. She wanted him to know, that was what she wanted, and she didn't care if anything ever came of it, she needed to tell him what was on her mind and on her heart and he was going to listen, that was it. She had even steeled herself up to avoid any infliction of pain if the child was there.. she was going to do what she did. She marched up to the door of the old apartment decisively, and knocked confidently, but then nearly lost her nerve and turned around. She could talk big but she couldn't always make her actions match.

He didn't have Leo with him this weekend, he was off with his mother somewhere - he didn't know, and he hated not knowing where his son was, but he usually ended up finding out from him anyway. His brow furrowed a little as he heard the door knock, wondering who it could be. Not many people visited him on the weekends, knowing he preferd to spend the time with his son. If anyone saw him he usually came to them and that was generally just his mother or Holly. He sighed a little and discarded of the beer he'd been drinking while watching the television - if Angel came to see him and saw him with it there'd be hell to pay. She was caught when he opened the door and turned back around, her mouth flapping open like a fish out of water for just a second before she remembered her purpose and came back to the door. "I want to talk to you, Adam. And you're going to listen." She would prove to him she wasn't a joke, that she had her ducks in a row now. She wasn't the kid that had left here, that was for sure, life on her own had grown her up a little bit - she was, dare say, womanly, and focused, or so she thought. As for that invitation, he didn't give her the courtesy. He didn't believe she deserved it much, and after all it was much easier for him to slam the door in her face from this position if he didn't like what she had to say. She was a little surprised that he didn't invite her in - she wasn't crazy about airing her dirty laundry in the hallway of their apartment with all the looky-loos - though they had certainly provided enough entertainment for them when the three of them had lived here, but it's obvious he wouldn't allow her the luxury of privacy. "You broke me, that's why I left. I can't handle this, I don't want to be a mother, I can't play house with you knowing that that child belongs to another woman that you could go back to anytime. It happens all the time, parents split up and then get back together over their common denominator, the child." She shifted, again crossing her arms protectively over her waist. "And I didn't want to know what you were doing here because I was sure it would be getting with Portia and setting up a happy family home, I was sure of it, but to hear about it actually happening would have killed me." He sucked in a breath as he listened to all this, his arms unfolding and hang at his sides a small smile creeping onto his face, though he wasn't sure why he was so amused. He guessed it was because now he knew she loved him .. knew she'd just been jealous. He smirked a little more as he glanced at her, at the expression on her face. he knew she'd hate the fact that he was smiling, on the verge of laughing even .. but he couldn't help it. "Stop, I'm not done yet." She frowned impatiently at the smile that was spreading across his face - how fickle he was to go from angry to grinning like a ridiculous monkey in two seconds flat. She very nearly stomped her foot, this wasn't how this was supposed to work out. "And I just can't. I'm not that person - I don't know what to do about this little boy in your life, and I know it sounds selfish, but I don't know where or how I can fit in. The bottom line, though, is that I was shredded when I left, and I still am, and you are the reason, and I don't care how miserable you might have been here, or even how much you celebrated when I left, because I can guarantee that whatever it was, I was doing the same... times a hundred." A frown spread over her features at his words, he was supposed to be stoic, slam the door in her face or something like that. "It doesn't matter if you don't love her, Adam, things change, people unite over stuff." The truth was she probably would never come to terms with things, relax enough to stop suspecting he was going to run off with Portia any second, even if they were able to work things out, which she wasn't thinking was happening right now. His brows furrowed into afrown at that and he leaned against the door frame, his lips pursing into a thin line "You really think I'm going to run off with Portia? Kendall, I haven't even looked at another girl since you left." As hard as that was to believe, it was true. She was worked nearly into a frenzy now, all of her words coming out on the same breath. "But it doesn't matter what happened in the past, it's the future. You hear about it all the time, some poor girl is all loved up playing house with her boyfriend's kid and then all of a sudden she's blindsided. I can't spend the rest of my life worrying about losing you." She hadn't dated a soul while she'd been gone either - spent time pining and doing her schoolwork, it was easy to bury herself with texts when she was trying not to think about him. She looked defeated. "I don't know." Her arms dropped to her sides and her brow dropped, her dark eyes flickering only briefly over his features. Already her mind was thinking of the places she could go to get totally plastered, and that would be how she would spend the rest of her summer, wasted and strung out and avoiding everyone she knew. It took a moment for the kiss to awaken her senses, but when it finally did, she gave as good as she was getting, an arm winding around his neck, the other around his back, desperate to get a taste of him. Everything in her screamed no, she was going to get hurt, but she ignored all of that and listened only to the persistent desire - something that had been silent for a year now, and if not silent, constantly being told to shut up. He kissed her deeply, his hands sliding low on her waist as he backed her up against the wall, his hands sliding under her thighs and lifting her from the floor of the apartment, his kisses rough and needy. She broke away to take a deep breath and at the same time, a long look around the apartment, looking for signs of a child... "Adam.. where's the baby?" She supposed she assumed he stayed all the time, because she didn't know otherwise. She sighed heavily at the feel of his body against hers - something so familiar yet so foreign, something she had been thinking about for a very long time, and if she knew Adam like she thought she did, he'd have been thinking about this too - he was barely able to control himself. She craned her neck to the side, allowing and welcoming his kisses as one hand tightened against his shoulder, her eyes closed. Wrong, but so, so right. She shook her head, though it was a lie - she hadn't asked because she worried about him, she just didn't want a kid to see any of what was going on, it wouldn't have mattered if it was Leo, but it did bother her, she wasn't sure how they would both fit into his life but at this point, she didn't care, dragging her fingers through his hair, across his scalp, her body pressed so closely, so intimately to his, she didn't care about a whole lot except this moment - she shouldn't be doing this, but that was one of those things that she didn't care about. She grinned as she saw his mouth go lax a moment at the pleasure from her fingers in his hair, she could still elicit this response from him - she put out of her mind that a monkey could probably do the same thing if he hadn't touched another woman for a whole year. They hadn't slept much at all either, they did have a year to make up for, afterall.. she had dozed off about twenty minutes earlier, as the first light of day was breaking it's way through the curtains and she awoke with a bit of a start at the time her biological clock had set for her for the last year. She blinked slowly, not recognizing the room - this wasn't her dorm, or her room at her parents' where she had been staying for the last couple of weeks.. what had she done? The young Italian girl had certainly grown into her looks, it had been a year since she'd seen Adam... and it had been 18 months since the birth of their son. She had held the grudge against him for long enough...and since she had given leo his mother back, she thought it was about time he got to see his father too. A pair of jeans hung low on her bronzed hips- which had become nicely defined since Leo's birth, and a white shirt hugged her curvy torso, her long dark hair brushed back over her shoulders. Leo was balenced on one of her curved hips, clinging to her affectionately, his hair as dark as hers was, though he had a distinctive look of Adam about him. This was hard for her- bringing her son to see the man she hated more than anyone- the one that had pushed her away and abandoned her, leaving her to deal with all this crap- at 16 years old- on her own. The little boy mumbled something in Italian, causing Portia to gaze down at him a moment, brushing a kiss to his head, before knocking on the door. Portia was establishing herself as a model now, and had done a fair bit of work in Italy... now she was back in the states she intended to carry on with her career.

She had spent some of her summer on her parent's ranch just outside of the city but that had been about the extent of her "summer vacation" -- she'd stayed for the most part here in their apartment, working on some projects, and had discovered an absolute love for fashion, sewing and material. She'd invented an entire new wardrobe for fall from her own hands and was sitting crosslegged, hand hemming a skirt that she'd just about finished, a new diamond necklace from her father hanging round her neck, an early present for her birthday which was coming up quite quickly. Her dark hair was pulled up off her neck in a messy ponytail, wearing a pair of rolled down sweatpants and a tank top with no bra underneath, a couple of pins held between her lips.

So he'd gone to the shops and maybe he'd splurged a little.. He'd bought her favourite chocolate, ice cream and a boquet of roses for her, and a couple of videos for them to watch. Her held the flowers behind his back, a plastic bag in his other hand that reached up to press the doorbell and he shifted almost nervously on his feet as he waited for her tolet him in. He couldn't remember a time when he'd been so unsure..

He had dialed her number almost as soon as he walked in his own front door and held his breath a little, waiting to hear her voice .. wanting to hear it, even. He swallowed a little and ran a hand through his hair, not sure as to why he was so nervous. He'd just spoken to her, hadn't he ... ?

He was lazing about on the couch, still having had a key from his time here. He was waiting for her to come home and he wanted to make up with her .. so bad. He'd told her he loved her and now he was just .. confused at to what she thought, but she hoped so much that she felt the same way back...

She hadn't heard from Elise in days - it made her almost question whether the other girl had been correct - maybe that was all she was, a selfish whore. She was curled up on the couch, watching Lady and the Tramp, her knees pulled up to her chest, wearing a pair of flannel pyjama pants and a fitted white tank top, her dark hair loose and damp from her recent bath. She was upset, obviously troubled, but not vocally so.

She was literally running in from school to shower and change and maybe grabbing something to eat before heading over to Logans hiding hole to ensure he hadn't sneaked in any alcohol... it was a harsh job, making him hate her, acting like she hated him, doing nothing but yell at each other- but if it would save him from self distruction it was something she had to do. She wouldn't see the man she loved drink himself into an early grave- especially over her and the issues she brought him with his twin.

She'd barely spent a day in the apartment put together over the past few weeks, but it made it easier to avoid Kendall. Her latest discovery didn;t leave her particually warm to either of her housemates, if she was honest, but it equalled out her own secrets. It wasn't that she wanted Kendall out of her life... but it felt like she could keep Logan and kendell in her life at the same time- at least not without telling her best friend the whol truth- in which case loosing Logan for good.

She very nearly burst through the door, pulling her to him immediately, and turning to rest her back against the newly closed door, her fingers curled in the collar of his shirt, her breath already heavy, her voice husky, still drenched in the sound of too much alcohol and not enough sex.
