It is fishy. The person who wrote it probably belongs to a fishy group, the Local Church, which once tried to "fish" me out of UBF.

This sentence smells like cannery road ;-)

Anyway, yes, this has to do with the "Local Churches", you saw that all right. Thing is, the "Local Churches" are very hard to categorize, save the fact that this Lee guy is the one man show of this ministry, if I'd let you know all that I know about him, you'd at best say "ugh-Lee" ;-(
Lee is dead now, and some of his most loyal followers have enshrined him in a monumental mausoleum on a special graveyard, but they quote his teachings like they're the Third Testament which has replaced the Bible. It has come so far that his teachings are quoted as "spiritual facts" even when they're just plain contradictions of words which are recorded as quotes from Jesus Christ Himself.

Now, you may ask why I ask for other's opinions when I know that all this is bogus as well.

Simple: what I know has little weight when it's a question of one versus many - when I can rely on the knowledge that others see it likewise (and thank you Chris for that article about Luther's view) I may put a few more grains on the scale.

I don't need to convince anyone for myself, but for the sake of those others whom I know to still be inside that group - you guess.

In Christ,
Mike K.
