>>Well Chris.
That is a difficult one to answer. The problem is I can only mix with the English speaking Saudi which as you might guess are the educated ones. I am banned from discussing politics with my students , So there is no way that I can know what the average man or woman in the street thinks.
To understand Saudi one has to bear in mind that as recent as the 1970 it had a low literacy rate of about 15%
Like most Middle Eastern countries they are going to support The Palastinians this is to be expected. However we have a new development, Saudis are getting killed by terrorists. This week we had three police officers killed when their car inwhich they were chasing terrorists burst into flames. These deaths of Saudis are not winning the terrorists any friends. Likewise the bloodbath in my city when all those mainly Indian foreign workers had their throats cut helped to harden peoples hearts against terrorism. I once reported a conversation I had with a young man whose uncle was killed in a terrorist shoot out, he hates them. In answer to your original question I suppose I dont really know. Of course its condemned in the media. The Royal Family is the Government here and they are popular.
