Subject: NIE is FUN!

G'day NIEghbours,
Ok David I'm on!

So, many of you know that oh so familiar 'sign on': G'day NIEghbours. That same group have sat there day after day, month after month wondering "is this guy nuts or is he just a bad speller". Well my little NIE friends...I am nuts! Nuts about NIE...it is, by far, the most fun that I have ever had in any career that I have been lucky enough to get paid to do. You've had more than one career? Yep, I have been a teacher, an Oil rig worker, a TV Producer/Host, a restaurant owner, a marketing guru and a paid coach.
NIE is a BLAST! What other job allows you to produce worthwhile materials that help kids see outside their own borders. Allows teachers to open up a 'new' textbook every single day. Above all, allows a ham like me to stand in front a classroom of people; be they teachers, students, soon to be teachers, administrators or wide-eyed NIE Newbies and act like a fool while still being eminently informative.

Remember: if you do this job - you are a good person and I have always believed that "good things come to good people"

Thank you for being the people you are.

Have a NI(c)E day.
Andrew

P.S. I even take liberties with the Canadian spelling of words (-:
