Subject: Skunk skinning

I am new to taxidermy and have read books and watched videos on skinning and mounting small mamuals but none addressed how to skin a skunk which should be the same but what do or percautions to take to avoid cutting the scent sack. If the scent sack is cut can the hide be descented?
