Lol man you are taking on a huge task for a newbie. I did the same thing when I started 20 years ago. Lets just say I only mounted one skunk in my career. Several taxidermy comapines make some chemicals that you can soak it in to eliminate odor. It's just tough to get the smell out of the inside of your nostrils(personal experience). Be very careful when skinning around glutimus stinkumus. Stay as close to the skin as possible. If you use a sharp razor blade it will help.
