Subject: In A Hurry?

when stresses direct me to frowns like a crown of thorns threaded through flesh
roses drowning in blood, head pounding, I sit down and take a sec to reflect...

sure I had my share of guilt and regrets,
my heart's always breaking but never gets bent
unable to settle, my sense of adventure is keen
no problems pressurin me accept for my dreams
why establish roots when the treasures too deep
streets congested with people have lessons to teach
like waves cresting the beach, we are all islands adrift with a purpose
and the slightest shift in position will allways ripple the intricate surface
on the sea of interpersonal interaction different factions latch onto land masses
gravity's a theory beyond it's application to a planets span on it's axis

that's called a pattern of abstract thought, a patented cure for your worries
and sure it works for a while until you remember why you were in a hurry
