Hi,

Everyone was so descriptive of what they have now and what they hope for. It was so much fun to try to picture all of that! I think the kitchen really is the heart of a vintage home. At least it sure was the heart of my grandmother's (both of them, in fact). Believe it or not, Alison, my grandmother had a pink kitchen way before pink was in. She loved pink, so she woke up one morning and asked my grandfather to take her to town to get paint for her white cabinets and table and chairs. (One of my gramma's favorite sayings when I was down and out was "Oh, honey... go paint sometime red.") She decided on an absolutely cotton candy pink enamel, and she had black linoleum cabinet tops and dark, dark red linoleum floors. She had white lacy curtains with little green ribbons... quite the cute and fluffly kitchen for the seventies when everyone else had the avocado and gold thing going on! Of course, she was the cutest thing in that kitchen... All five foot one inch of her with the soft, fluffy gramma look... I have her table (still pink) and two of her chairs.... I painted one chair and tole painted roses all over it for my mother as a Christmas present... not sure where the other one went...

Tonite was supposed to be cuddly and pamper night. Did anybody do anything special? I am still going to try to do something as I didn't earlier. It is time for bed, but I still believe I could use some pampering, and it looks sadly as if I'll be the only one to do it for myself... Geez Louise, I get sick of that sometimes... haha..

Hot shower and a cup of cocoa, I think.. and maybe my favorite movie in the DVD as I drift off to dreamland. I also thought about reading in the February book choice book since I haven't really started..

Everybody take good care of one another...

Love, Gayla
