She bit her lip, dropping her head into her hands as she let out a shaky breath. "She's all I have...I know it sounds selfish, like I am just looking out for me but I don't know what I'll do without her...she's the reason I keep on..you know?" He instictively reached for her, drawing her to his side as he sat up beside her, closing his eyes as he dropped his chin to rest atop her head "Its not selfish...she's all that I have too baby... and I do anything to keep her alive here, with you. I'd trade places with her in a second if I could." Tears were stinging at his eyes and he was furious with himself for not being able to fix this... he'd always given his little girl everything she had ever asked him for- everything she had ever needed- and it killed him that he couldn't fix this for her- and for Ash.
