Gee, some of us old punks might have come out if this would have at least been posted on the web site. I see its listed there now, but it wasnt a week or two before the show. Was this last second? I check the site about once a week, looking for shows, and yes I occasionially make it out. I am older and I dont have the same network of punk friends that I used too. This makes it harder to find out about shows. I know of at least two other Poison Idea fans that would have definately come out if they would have know about it. If I would have seen it on the website I would have told them. If they would have seen it in the observer (the free section). they would have come. I knew about GBH at least a month ahead of time because I saw an ad in the observer.

I checked the observer today and as far as I can tell you can submit a listing for a show for free and it will show up in the small print ads for the weekly shows. Let me know if this is incorrect, but if its not, its free advertising. You have to do it a few weeks ahead, but its free. Its advertising that I look at and would have seen. Whether you like or not, the club has some responsibility when it comes to attracting people to the venue. Especially in Deep Ellum with higher rents and less people coming every day.

Mouse, thanks for mentioning the Phantom Rockers show! Its not listed on the Upcoming Shows section either. Way to go!
