• Rio was out at work... as was Jason, Joey and most of the others... but they should be home pretty soon. Infact Nina expected to open the door to one of them who'd forgotten their key, so when she opened the door to the vaguely familiar young black girl she hesitated for a moment. A pair of jeans hung low on her hips, under her rounded belly, with the waist band folded down once, a cream baby-doll top keeping her feeling not completely unattractive. Her honey brown curls were loose, falling down over her shoulders delicately, faming her pretty latina features perfectly. • Well, he wouldn't be playing hero anymore that was for sure, what she needed from him didn't involve rescueing. She looked over her shoulder at the door before she nodded and followed Nina into the kitchen. "Pretty decent setup you guys got going here..." She had managed to avoid juvi so she didn't know the whole crew who was here, she knew of Joey and Jason but other than that the only two she knew were Nina and Rio. • What she didn;t know was that Joey and Jason took no crap... but she'd figure that out soon enough. "Yeah its a decent place... you should'a seen it when we first came though." • Nina fixed her a drink and picked at the food herself, though as she passed the glass to Kabri the door swung open... and everyone seemed to pile in almost at once. Jason barely noticed the new arrival, but Rio noticed, and stopped still in his tracks in Joey's path, his arm still draped over Jackie's shoulders. He looked like he'd just had a flash from his past- which he had in all honesty. His arm dropped from his girlfriends shoulders as he moved in closer, his dark eyes flicking from Nina to Kabri before a grin spread over his lips "Kabri! Babycakes! What the hell are you doing here?" She was his best friends little sister and he'd promised him he'd look out for her as Derek bled to death in his arms. He envoloped the young girl in his much stronger, much more muscled arms- manual labour really did a lot for the young mans physique- as did Jackie's amazing cooking. • She had kept walking when he had stopped and got jerked a little with the force of his sudden halt. Her eyes moved back to him with a confused laugh on her lips before she saw the way he was looking at the new girl at the table - the very pretty new girl at the table - and the laugh died on her lips. She took a step back, letting him have his reunion, her head cocked curiously. She couldn't believe how much he had grown up, if he had been good looking before he was gorgeous now and there were few traces of the boy he had been, he now looked all man. Her arms threw around his neck, hugging him tightly as she laughed, throwing herself into his arms as she reached up to brush a friendly kiss over his lips. "God, I missed you!!!" • Rio laughed and swung her around playfully, placing her back down with a care. It had been a long time since he'd seen little Kabri, and he was pleased to see her still in one peice. His dark eyes moved to Nina as if in confusion, looking for an answer at to whe she was there, and he didn;t even need to ask- nine new what he was thinking "Don;t look at me" she said "She just turned up" Nina grinned and moved away from the counter to Joey, leaning up to brush a kiss to his lips, leaving Rio to it. Seemed he was a bit attached to the little thing but she would help him get over that. Her hand slipped to entwine her arm around his, her hand shifting to entwine in his fingers as she led the way to where she had tossed down her duffle bag and then leaned down to swing it over her shoulder. • She looked around the room only briefly before she smiled a little and sat down on the edge of the bed, gazing up at him. • Rio rolled his eyes as she pouted and sighed, he ran a hand over his braided head, standing as she backed up. He knew these girls and their games- he'd been around Lysia and Nina for long enough to figure them out. A low breath escaped her lips as she ran her hand over her face as the tears started to fall over her dark lashes - even she couldn't fake tears. • While Kabri went about unpacking and such, she was downstairs starting dinner and wondering what the relationship would be between her boyfriend and his old friend. They had all gone out to the park that afternoon, a big group of them, and it had definitely been a good time but this was making her a little pensive. • She returned the smile to Rio before she turned back to the stove, her brow raising as he brushed off Nina's inquiry about the arguement she had overheard. A low breath escaped her lips and she wondered, if it came down to it, if she would have the gumption needed to fight for Rio and if it would even be the right thing to do. She had thought many times that she made his life worse instead of better, that she made him worry to much and only added to his problems but damnit, she loved him and she was a selfish girl and it just killed her to think of giving him up. At times, she thought maybe they were more suited to be friends than lovers - well not that they were lovers because they had never slept together - because their relationship was mostly emotional except for some kissing and cuddling here and there.....   • Nina's curiousity was getting too much for him, so he instead brushed a kiss to the top of her head playfully and told her not to worry about it, getting up out of the couch to wander restlessly intot he kitchen, where he hopped up onto the island in the center of the kitchen that he and jason had constructed.
