He exhaled a deep breath at his friend's words and was silent for a long moment to let all of that sink in before nodding a little his understanding. All of that was true but only because he heard it from Joey's lips - there were few other people who's opinion he would trust so completely. Even though the other man was a couple of years younger than him, he had been through a lot and was mature way beyond his years. Finally, he broke a bit of a smile and cracked open the beer that had been handed to him, then took a long sip from it before looking over to him again. "I really do hate to bail on you...
