• Rio came in from the building site as tired and aching as ever. In his nineteen years he had never worked so hard as he was currently. He was working hard to save money for the house he was planning to build or buy for her, he had a fair amount saved up, even after he'd given more then his and Jackie's fair share of the weekly housekeeping and grocery money. He left his boots at the door and headed straight for the shower, his shoulders and back aching from all the manual labour, his muscled arms were strained and almost numb with the over use of them, but the long hours meant that he didn;t have to face upto the wedge that seemed to be driven further and further between him and the girl he loved each day. • The tears were threatening to spill even as she started gathering up all the little things that were in the room of hers, magazines, hairbrushes and ties, things like that. A few tears did manage to escape when she picked up her necklace and matching bracelet that he had given her. She almost felt bad keeping them but she somehow knew he would be even more upset if she didn't so she tucked them carefully into her pocket. Her lip tucked between her teeth as she surveyed the room once more, noticing things she forgot. As she picked things up she thought of all the ways he was going to be better without her. He would be free to do whatever he wanted, have less worries, have more money for himself, not have to worry about the responsibility of taking care of her like he did....yeah, he would be a lot better. • He finished up in the shower and made his way towards the bedroom they'd shared for almost eighteen months in just a pair of boxers, opening the door and heading straight in, just as she was about to come in, her box of things in her arms. Confusion crossed his dark features quickly at the sight, and he was almost afraid to ask what was going on- but he was sucker for punishment "Where are you going? Why are you moving you stuff?" He asked, his eyes darting into the box and noticing a bear he head won for her at the fair on their first date, photo's she'd collected, hairbrushes, make-up, things he recognised and was used to seeing in their room. • She let out a soft breath, her eyes closing as soon as she saw him. It only took a second for her to open them back up but she avoided his gaze as she shifted to hold the box closer to her. The room behind her was stripped of any signs of a female living with him, it looked like..just his. His domain. "A room...opened up...since Kaden and Ella moved out." She stated softly, which was a sorry excuse because there had always been open rooms while she was living with him. "I am going to stay in there, for right now..." • He frowned at that "Kaden and Ella moved out months ago. Theres always been a spare room." She moved out of her own room to share one with him. He didn;t know what the hell was going on, except they seemed to have grown a little distant recently- but he put that down to Nina and Astrid and their pregnancies. She bit her lip, her brow furrowed as she tried to straighten her shoulders and be tough about this but it was obvious she was about to break down at any minute. "Look, Rio, anyone can see that you haven't been happy for a while and this..this whole thing..us..it just..it isn't good. It's not good." For him it wasn't good, for her it had saved her from possibly killing herself or losing her mind, it had been the best thing to ever happen to her and the worst thing to him. • He frowned all the more at that, clearly hurt and distressed. "Let me decide if I'm happy or not." He was happy. He loved Jackie and he'd have done anything she'd asked of him- she knew that. "Is there someone else Jackie? Cause this makes no sense to me...We were fine... we've always been fine... Or is that just me? I've given you everything you've ever asked me for... i've been working all god damn hours under the sun to save uo for a house for us... how do we just go from that to this? To nothing?" • "You shouldn't have too!" She nearly growled out but then took a deep breath. "Now you won't have to work such long hours to support such a heavy burden." She stated, she was that heavy burden. He did it all without her asking but she knew he had to feel kind of obligated to support her since she couldn't hold down a job due to her still getting anxiety attacks around strange men sometimes. "There's just..there are better things out there for you and...this is just better. It's better this way." She repeated again, brushing her hair out of her eyes with one hand, it was obvious she had been crying earlier and close to it again but she was playing tough as best as she could. • She shook her head slowly, sadly. "I think it would be better if we just...if we just left each other alone for awhile, Rio." She stated, biting her lip heavily as she dropped her gaze, her brow furrowed. She wanted to just run out, slam her bedroom door behind her and stay hidden in there as she had when they first got there. She didn't want to have to look at him while her heart was breaking. All she wanted was the best for him, for him to be happy and ever since they had first got together she had been slowly ruining his life. He deserved a real woman, not a girl with more issues and fears than anyone should have to deal with. "There are...there are other girls." • She shook her head, pain radiating inside her at the mention of how long they had been together. "It's just not working, Rio. You deserve someone...better than me. More suited to you than I am." • He narrowed his dark chocolate eyes at her with hurt and accusition. He was hating how she was turnign this around to make it like she was doing him a favour. "If thats what you think then you clearly havent learnt anything about me over the last two years Jackie. Get out of here... close the door behind you." • She visably flinched at his words but straightened her shoulders, knowing that she deserved anything he had to say to her. She had put him through hell the past two years, with all her doubts and insecurities, her neediness and the way she couldn't be there for him sexually as a woman should be for a man like Rio. He wasn't a boy anymore, he was a man and he deserved to be with a woman instead of a child like herself. • Rio kept his jaw clenshed and his shoulders squared untill he heard the door close softly. At that point he let his face fall, his eyes close as a hand passed over his features heavily, swallowing hard against the lump in his throat. He wasn;t sure what to do with himself right now... half of him felt like ripping the room apart- but that wasn;t exactly in his character, so instead he crossed to the bedside table - his side- and opened the drawer, carefully rollinghimself a joint, though his fingers were trembling a little as he brough the tightly picked joint to his lips and passed the long edge over his tongue, sticking it down before slipping it between his lips and pulling out his zippo, lighting the much needed joint.
