They covered Nina's face with a mask and put her out, though as soon as they did, as the baby and Joey reached the swinging doors, her heart monitor started beeping and her levels dopped right down, putting her heart into cardiac arrest. His breath caught and he looked back at Nina but was quickly pushed through the doors and taken to the nursery with his daughter. A low breath escaped his lips as he watched the baby get cleaned up, checked out and then handed to him wrapped in a fuzzy pink blanket. He was a little unsure for all of five seconds but then it just seemed natural the way he was holding his little girl. His brow furrowed heavily as he looked up at the nurse, his eyes shining.
