 The best part for me was getting new "school shoes" and a new dress to wear the first day. Nevertheless, I would cry, get stomachaches, and cling to my mother that first day of each year (until about 3rd grade). The first day of Kindergarten, I actually grabbed onto a telephone pole and refused to let go. My mom had to pry my little fingers off the pole while trying to convince me school was fun!
