Cutting through those hills of Northern Yonkers was a great short cut to Adventurers Inn on Central Avenue (later/and now I think) Nathans. 50's and 60's heavyweight champ Floyd Patterson had a house in those "hills" as my dad would point out everytime we made the Adventurer's trek.

I remember those amazingly light Popovers at Patricia Murphy's.
