Texas Galaxy Ladies

Thank you so much for your love and concern for you pageant sisters. I think this has been the Red Cross pageant Camp.

My phone has not stopped ringing wanting to know if this girl or that girl was all right.

I have to say I was not surprised at the level of concern due to the severity of the situation here in Texas. Nor was I surprised at the number of calls from girls wanting to help.

After Katrina Texas was bursting open with more people then we knew what to do with and now with Rita it’s unbelievable. All Wal-Mart, Target, or any food stores are out of everything. Traffic is crazy and Gas is higher then I’ve ever seen it before.

Most of the shelters are full, the shelter I was helping in someone tested positive for TB the problem was once the test results came back we could no longer find that person.

There have been some truly serious problems in the attempt to reach out and help our fellow man. It’s very different when you see it on TV or when you’re in the middle of it.

I think you honestly see the urgency to not only be compassionate and understanding but to value the meaning of life. Things I’ve seen at the shelters have taught me some valuable life lessons.

Every moment you have here on earth is precious don’t waste it.

Jessica Garza - Could not get out due to traffic

Carly Casco - No news

Amber Pierce - Amber is safe but (Mom) Allison didn't get out she the only one left on her street she is taking care of all the animals in the neighborhood

Jennifer Clary - Jennifer is stuck in one of the hardest hit areas with her two little daughters

Natalie Bell - is safe in San Antonio, but her Mom and Grandmother are stuck in a bad area could not get out due to traffic and her Father is working at the hospital in Houston

Natalie Jenkins - no news

Jennifer Wisemore - no news

Amber Lanning - safe with family they were able to get out in time

Lisa Schmidt – safe in the hill country with her daughter husband is not out of Corpus yet

Cheray Josiah – Cheray said she was far enough away she thinks she will be safe

Robyn Hollinsworth - said her and her family were safe
