You are right about each baby needs are different. Some good things to register for off the bat are the ones you mentioned in your post on 10/2 but also remember this things: body wash/lotion, powder, butt cream, bathtub, towels to dry them with, onesies, socks, receiving blankets, room decor or accessories, picture frames, photo albums, gift cards, invest in a breast pump, my hospital charged $50 a month to rent, well if you rent it for 2-4 months then you have bought yourself a brand new expensive pump, milk storage holders for your breast milk, boppy, lullaby music, toys, wipes, wipes, wipes, thermometer, nail clippers, mittens for the hands so they don't stratch their face, I use Arboone baby oil for my childs head (dryness), teething rings, I could go on but I hope this helps in getting you started on your baby registry. Also I was big on letting people know that I would like clothing items to cover the first year. So many people want to give those tiny newborn to 3 months outfits but babies grow out of those so quickly I like to have larger sizes on hand so when one day they can wear that onesie and they next day they can't I have a bigger size right there waiting and I didn't have to go shopping. My boy is almost 4 months old and he wears some things in 3 months and other things he is in 6 months. It all depends on who makes it. In my experience Target runs small but I love their clothes. Congratulations and have fun shopping, just put down everything you might need or want. I remember with our first child we received enought gift cards to Babies R Us that we only paid $1 for our car seat/stroller combo. Yeah!
