Subject: Thankyou Aine I have missed the debate board

here goes. On the USA board a dancer was complaining about being kept out of the top 5 placements by 'overseas' dancers.
My take on this is why should they not be there, they paid thier entry fee same as all the rest. If you are happy to take the opinion of an 'overseas' adj why are people not happy to compete against overseas dancers.
I dont remember any shouting about the all Irelands being open only to Irish dancers, in fact most TCs and dancers Would be very upset if it was.
Irish dance has become a global art form with schools all over the world, and different countries welcoming dancers for competitions, it would be a shame to change that.
