I think that most of you are totally missing my point. Maybe I'm just pragmatic but I don't see the majority of teachers out there allowing their adult dancers to move into the & overs. There's only one school around and I can't just switch schools. I would love to make the jump and my teacher refuses to talk about it, even though I am one of the better adult dancers.

No - I do not want to dance in the adult category but I have no choice. When you talk about crossing over into the & over category you negate the experience of the majority of dancers who simply do not have that choice.

I simply think it would be easier to get the governing board to allow slow speed hard shoes than to get every ID teacher who teaches adults to let their adults dance in the & over categories.
