Subject: I have a question........

Saturday i went to a pet shop to buy me some more fish for my tank. For some reason i had to go that day and could not wait. Well they had a baby TAG that is not weaned yet. I couldnt believe my eyes and didnt know ppl would sell a bird that is not weaned yet. Well the pet shop had just got him the day before on Friday. She said that he still has another month to go on the feeding. Well i fell in love and know that the pet shop might not tend to him properly being that he still needs to be fed and that they will just feed him and put him back in the cage. Well you guessed it I bought him. I named him Ceasar. My question is how do I know when he is ready to wean. I have been dealing with tiels and hand feeding them for two years now. Ceasar does not eat like a tiel as for as the amount. He does eat to were you can feel it in the craw really good but then he stops and refuses to eat anymore. Then he goes to the seed bowl. He is in and out of the seed bowl all day. He is on two feeding a day. The woman told me he is eight weeks old and the guy said 12. She also told me that the longer i feed him the better he will be towards me. Do i feed till he totally refuses it? I know they like there food really warm. I know all about that and i make sure its really warm and not hot. I give him water from the dropper time to time during the day cause i never see him in the water bowl and i know that is a skill they have to learn. Here is a pic of the little guy.
