Sounds like this woman is going to marry a goldmine. Money isn't everything. Cigarettes aren't either but Wilma has been smoking with reckless abandon. She brags of smoking 2 packs Sunday and Monday. Yesterday, she was back to her normal pack a day of Marlboros.
Many of the girls on campus smoke but most keep it at more like a half pack a day. Wilma's mother was a heavy smoker in college but quit when she married her dad. Party smoking and even a month run at her old Winston habit have not caused her to be smoking again.
She wants Wilma and her other 3 daughters to give up smoking.
I don't think mothers should help a pre-teen take up smoking. There is a lot of starting without the mother's help. At home, apparently my 13-year-old sister is smoking about 5 a day. The sister of 15 is in sports and not smoking. The sister of 17 is pursuing Wilma.
My mother, long a party smoker who hid it from us kids, is a 10-a-day smoker.
That's about all from campus. Be warned, I started school early and my 19th birthday is still coming up.
