Somebody from another school said after our team got another upset at this tournament that our team was really smoking. They are right in more ways that one.
We scored another upset to make the final 4 in what started as a 32-team volleyball classic. So, after this morning's win, coach gave them some free time. It's fun to watch those girls so excited and playing so well together.
I hated to see Jessica go back to smoking last night but she is not letting her smoking or the boy she is with affect her play.
Some of the parents are going straight from their bar stools to the match. It will be difficult to get off a bar stool and go straight to the match.
A non-smoking mom may be a non-smoking mom under normal circumstances but not under this competitive pressure.
I'm not sure I could have made it trying to stay off cigarettes.
Lois, the quiet mother of Wanda, even had a cigarette before we left. She has a well spaced family. She always shows up with her husband Lawrence. Her married son is 25 and smokes. The son and his smoking wife are here for the tournament. Another son and gf are to come over for the final matches.
Lois asked for a cigarette before we left our lunch place. They are still there. We are to make sure her little girl, Ruth, makes it to the match if she and husband are not there. Their little girl is Darrell's age and he is showing he is quite a lady's man. Unlike his Janet friend at home, this one has never smoked. That's the way a 10-year-old girl should be.
That how Betsy's little sister Mae should have acted, too. But Lisa and the other Demons got Mae to try what Lisa called a few cigarettes last night. Betsy is not looking like the social smoker she says she is.
It's nearly time for action and we're getting ready to off again. I think all the kids are accounted for.
More maybe tonight.
