Subject: ...enjoy the ride...

Many people greet the small, sleepy town of Wild Rock, CO with different feelings. Some greet it with anticipation and the thrill of a new life, while others greet Wild Rock with a sense of trepidation and an unwillingness to change. Some feel indifferent about the tiny town of less than 5000 inhabitants in northern Colorado. But they're there, nonetheless, whether they like it or not.

For decades, the only event that even vaguely placed Wild Rock on the map was the annual Wild Rock Fair and Rodeo. Over the years, however, that fair and rodeo grew. Horse people grew attached to the beautiful location and decided to make it their home. During the summer, the town began to host several horse shows for all equestrian disciplines. To handle the need of additional horse shows, Ramblewood Equestrian Center was built in nearby Ramblewood in the 1980s, with the Ramblewood Rodeo Grounds established right next door. Twenty years later, Wild Rock is the full-time home to several international caliber riders and trainers of all diciplines, from reining and barrel racing to dressage and endurance riding. Whatever your disciple might be, you'll find your niche in Wild Rock.

Horses not your thing? Don't worry, because you'll find non-horse enthusiants also enjoy the Wild Rock lifestyle. Many people move to Wild Rock to attend Tifton University. And perhaps if you didn't graduate from college, you can find a job in Wild Rock. There's The Roxy, an old drive-in movie theater that's situated in the heart of Wild Rock. Just down the road you'll find The Savage Moose, which is the town's signature karaoke bar. Charlie Henderson, bartender at The Savage Moose, makes the best top-shelf margaritas in the state (well...so we've heard) and the Moose serves awesome chicken wings on the Friday nights (in case you don't want to follow your friends down to Boulder for a good time). Occasionally, the school will host concerts as well. Whether you're hanging out with the boys on Friday night at the Happy Horse or singing karaoke at the Savage Moose or riding up the mountains for camping trip in the woods, you'll be sure to have a good time in Wild Rock.

If you're looking for a new online community to make some friends, both in character and out of character, you'll find that and more at Wild Rock, CO. Please come and check us out. We love new faces!
