Subject: ammonia and nitrate in new tank

Hi there:o) I have a new 20gal tank that is 8 days old. It has a couple of zebra danios in it. I put two bio-stars from my existing tank in to jump start things. What I find interesting is that when I test the water there is not only ammonia ( 2ppm) but also nitrates (10ppm). I didn't think there'd be that much nitrate yet. Also there are foamy looking bubbles around the waterline. Where do these come from? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Mark
