Do you think it will be like a Greek tragedy, like Oedipus marrying his mother as prophesized but without realizing who she was? We don't know how long it takes to grow a Cylon. Maybe she'll end up destroying her own child without realizing it, only finding out later what she did. Leoben indicated Starbuck had an important destiny in the human-Cylon conflict (if he wasn't just messing with her head).

Kara's been pretty conflicted, not to mention mercurial, about the Cylon thing when it's someone she knows. She was ready to shoot Sharon on Caprica, but then she smacked her shipmate for talking trash about Helo's relationship with her. She went from torturing Leoben for information to being appalled when Roslyn had him thrown out the airlock.

There's also a big progeny (Cylons) destroying progenitors (humans) theme so far, a la the Titans. Ouranus, father of the Titans, was overthrown by his son, Kronos, who was in turn overthrown by his son, Zeus.

Maybe the current Cylons should pay attention to that - the next generation (Sharon's baby and Kara's) may not be kind to either their Cylon or human progenitors.
