You're right, it just really makes me appreciate what we had. I'm not talking the taste in music, but the quality in people.
Just not too many super bright bulbs over there, from what I've encountered.

The average person overthere is probably 17 yrs old. So they'll grow and learn, hopefully.
I think at 17 I was a bit more mature.
btw Twan, you posted on that Britney Spears thread and I wanted to respond. Did you know in Canada that maternity leave is a year and that men can take paternal leave for a year too. They can take it at the sametime as thier wife or they can take it the following year. So most kids could stay home with a parent for up to 2 years. Most men don't do it though, but they can. I think most of them couldn't handle it and most men earn more income. You are only entitled to 60% of your yearly income.

Holy cow! I got 1 1/2 months and at my current job there is no maternity leave-you just have to hope you have enough vacation time. I'm working on year #9 and have around 26 days vacation (which is combined with sick/personal time and had a 2 hour minumum).

"I hope your new conservative PM doesn't flush that one down the shitter, 'cause that's one of the best ideas I've ever heard."
~~~Don't freakin remind me! We'll see how he helps young working families. He's made some subsidized daycare promises, so he better keep them. I think he may cut the National Child Care Benefits, and I need that.
Seriously, that is too cool. I hope your new conservative PM doesn't flush that one down the shitter, 'cause that's one of the best ideas I've ever heard.
Just thought I'd mention that I googled "chris cornell forum" and this place was on page 15 of the results.
Watch out world!
