Indeed hats off to A light for keeping the "euphorium" (hint for forum name), family together.
I am just getting used to blue. After reading for awhile it is a trip to look down at my black keyboard and all the keys look glow-in-the-dark-ish.

there sure is a lot to think about here, but i think you've made a strong case for finding us a new, more permanent place. some people have said this one is hard to read, though i have never found it that way. it would be nice to have PMs again, and to edit, and to not have to worry for the spam shoe to drop.

also, i personally would rather find a way to pay the small fee rather than have ads. do you have any idea what that fee is? i'm sure we could find a way to cover it.

euphorium is one idea for a title, as that's what we called the old cc place back in the day, and it references him but doesn't say CHRIS CORNELL in shining silver letters. on the issue itsefl of whether to include his name, i sit a bit on the fence. i am not all about CC anymore and i think that a lot of us aren't so much, hence the "for unofficial fans." but it was CC who brought us together as others have mentioned. perhaps a lyric reference for the title? that's the way i would personally go with it. plus i think now we are more a gathering of a group of friends, rather than a CC fan group, and if we put CC in the title, we could get an influx of new people - which isn't exactly bad or good. guess it depends on whether we'd rather focus on the CC aspect or just the communicating w/the people we've come to know and love. i vote for the latter but that's just me.

maybe proboards is the way to go. i remember using ezboards a couple years back, and finding it difficult. also as you mentioned there could be confusion with the "cornell euphoria" forum.

this is my bottom line:

i want to be able to curse like a sailor without having to censor (i gave up posting at the AS site even on the ?s thread about our old site, cuz it took me so long to comb through and find all my fuck-ups).

no categories!

simple and open, free-flowing look.

it would be nice to not have length restrictions on posts, but that's not top of the list.

pictures would be nice, and the ability to post stuff even if you are a comp dunce, like URLs or whatever.

whatever ends up happening, i've never even contemplated kicking this habit, so i'm in!
