The job itself is just a tour guide for a government run historic village in the area. I'm gonna drive down tomorrow as it's a pretty long drive and check it out. Applying Monday. The history is really really interesting. It's an original commune the German seperatist set up after being persecuted in Germany. I don't have a full understanding of their religion yet, but there's some mystisicm in there so that's always fun (and makes October a haunted month!). I'm cutting my pay by 2/3rds!

BUT, I will be able to see if I want to go through 5 years to become an archivist (which is what I wanted to do, though I joke I want to be a librarian...cause you know the rumors! LOL!). I'm already 31, so 5 years of school HAS GOT to be worth it! I'll also be able to get my foot in the door for my own touring company and get the doors open that I need open!

All in a historically correct costume. LOL!

Anyhow, I'll keep ya'll in the loop! I'm excited.

And yeah, I'm just Jes here. I don't see a need for a screen name in this community! :)

oh man, sometimes taking pay cuts is so worth it. not easy though. is the job full or part time?
