So this could be the drug companies just selling a product again. I've heard that pill is very very harsh.

I don't know if they are reselling the same product. The IUD is placed in your cervix, (and it can cause painful cramps) but it's longterm. The Morning After pill works the sameway by not allowing the egg to fertilise but, it's one time.
