Subject: Fashion Question for TG

Today I'm wearing a pair of green cordouroy Jeannie pants. You know, the ones with the half drawstring up the side?

What am I supposed to do with the long string that hangs down from the drawstring? I'm very short - so they're probably a little bit longer on me than they would be someone else.

Tuck it in your shoe.

Jeannie pants? you mean they tie at the bottom? Just tie them in a bow. You should get those short bahama pants for the spring, I'm only 5'3" too and I'm getting a pair, they're great for anyone, they're like capri pants but shorter. (they go below the knee) I saw ones that synch and tie at the bottom.

O wait I know what you mean. Are you asking how can you hemm them, you would have to make a new opening for the strings and hem the pant.

No - if I wore a pair of those on What not to Wear, they'd rip them to shreds with scissors. I'm shaped like Princess Fiona as an ogre - I've got legs like treetrunks. I have alot of good features, but I'm every leg man's nightmare!

They're really cute if you can pull them off. I've noticed alot of short leggings under the shorter flowy skirts too - same thing.

No - hun - they're the drawstring up the side from the bottom (Black Eyed Peas Fergy style) - but the drawstring must be made from a boot string or something. The drawstring part in the actual pantleg is about a foot long, and when you pull that up a bit the drawstring still sticks out by another foot. It's like they used 4 foot long shoestrings!

I would just cut them if they're too long.

Stacey and Clinton can go to hell! Stacey is like 5'9 and Clinton is 6'2 or something, they don't have any idea what us short ladies go through. They always suggest those A-line skirts for us and I hate those skirts. They never suggest a mini-skirt which is the best. I gues minnis aren't fashionable anymore.

See - I like alines, but I'm a bit retro. But you're right - mini's are better for anyone. You know though - I don't own one anymore. I wonder if they're hard to find (except the cute ruffly ones)? I used to have a plain black mini that was a staple to my wardrobe. Sometimes fashion moves away from what's attractive - and that's the whole point of fashion I think.

RD2 - you know - if I had a pair of green panties, that's exactly what I'd be wearing! LOL!

They have mini dresses, I think that's the way to go for now, until the mini's comeback in. Yeah, I noticed that too that it's all the ruffled ones, and I'm just too old for those. I also don't dress like a stripper. I'm more like Chris when it comes to clothes, more on the punk/60's style. Casual but, funky.

I shop for things that have a hint of slutiness, but don't just scream it out! ;)
