ahhhh, i love the penis cake!

this isn't a parenting story, but my 85 yo friend (who is coming home on sunday) has a cake story. she was supposed to bake one for the local low-income housing place. they were having some dinner and raffling off cakes to tables and people went all out baking the cakes for this raffle. so she makes this great cake with raised soaked overnight in grand marnier and everything. she makes it once for a practice run. then she makes it the next weekend for the real deal only to find out she had the date wrong. so she brought the cake to another function. the next weekend she makes it AGAIN. this time, she places the cake on the roof of her car as she's loading other stuff into the backseat. then she gets in and drives off. halfway to the place, someone going the other direction stops her and says hey what's that on your roof?!? so the cake was rescued from danger and delivered to the benefit dinner. but quite a ride on the way there!

not as funny as a penis cake though!!!

So now I have a story.

I was looking at my daughters artwork and she was drawing this girl with blond hair a black hat with read lips doing things like driving in a car. So I ask if it was Barbie and she told me it was Gwen Stefani Hollaback Girl. Anyway it had been her birthday the week before and I asked he if she wanted the cd and I we went and bought it. Well we put it on and did you know that Gwen sings "my shit" through the song? I didn't and I said to Natalie "I didn't know she said that word" and she said "Oh I did, Meghan told me" ?? Meghan is 6 too and in her class. Kids know too much and I feel like an idiot.
