I'm no dreamiologist or anything (me made up new word!), but I think dreams are never about the things they seem to be about. I think they're often just psychic effluvia, and when they do MEAN something, they are so wrapped in symbolism as to be far removed from their apparent meaning.

I would look at what your grandma meant to you in life and what your friend Matt meant to you in life. Were they emotional supports? Was Matt someone you thought about romantically sometimes? Was grandma a source of stability for you? If so, maybe you're worried about romance or stability, etc.

But really, I have no clue (and I don't think anyone else really does either).

jes, hmmm.
i've dreamt about my grandma twice in the past few months.
we were in her kitchen just talking. i'm not sure what
about, but in my dreams, i can hear her voice. she's been
dead for over 20 yrs. :( maybe the spirits are out there.

Oh, definitely not a bad thing. I used to dream about my Grandma all of the time after she died. I tend to dream about her more when I'm really stressed out or feeling blue. I guess that we just have certain times in our lives that we dream about those we have lost. It's always been my theory that we dream of them during crappy times because they provide us comfort and it's sort of a nostalgic thing to help us go back to a happy time in our past.
