Hey everyone! Finally made it here - I tried last week sometime and the page wouldn't display. I miss our old place. The carpet stank and every now and again there'd be someone knocking on the door annoying you with shit you weren't interested in...but it was home ya know.

I was thinking of using that thread to alert other (so far missing) cc.com'ers to our thread in the Questions section there, hoping some familiar names would go there and drop in. I realized though, that people who are looking for cc.com news might not think of opening that thread.

I always thought Stillreign would be a good monitor. She was there from the start, stuck around through all the changes, and always seemed to have a balanced point-of-view (at least from the time I started reading there). Also she seemed (to me) to have a live-and-let-live type of attitude, which I definitely think would be a plus for that position, if it came down to someone having to be there anyway. Actually there are a bunch of people who would fit that description and who would be equally cool, but she's the first one that came to mind.
I would have nominated noslave too, but then he would never talk to me again.

I moderate on a football (soccer) board. I follow a three-point plan:
1/. Interfere as little as possible.
2/. Try not to be too much of a dick.
3/. That's it.
It's technically a two-point plan, but you do need the third to remind people that there are only two, 'cause they expect them to come in threes. So it's a two-pronged trident - a 'bident'.

I've done that before - this board asks you to confirm that the message is correct after you write & submit it the first time. If you don't 'approve' it (scroll down to the bottom after you hit send) it won't show up.

Had an ultrasound yesterday, and she's seven weeks along (further than we thought). Actually got to see the little heart beating - pretty amazing.
The little bambino is about the size of my fingerprint right now, has little webbed fingers, and is in the process of developing elbows. Craziness.

Hey now! Me was joking!
We were really just totally surprised. Both of us expected to have problems conceiving (for reasons I won't specify here), so it blew us away that the first month of unprotected sex in our 10-year relationship resulted in a child.
I always told myself I would want to keep the baby's sex a surprise, but now I'm not so sure. I don't know if I can handle some lab tech knowing and me not knowing. That's bull-donkey. I think I'll end up finding out. Rachel's already decided that she wants to know, and I don't think I can deal with her knowing and me not knowing, either. So yeah. I won't kid myself further here. I'm going to find out.

Yeah, I didn't know for my first two, but it is easier to plan knowing the sex. You can get the appropriate clothing and you can decorate the nursery.
I kept the name a secret though, from friends and family (a little surprise). That was tough considering everyone asks.
