I always thought Stillreign would be a good monitor. She was there from the start, stuck around through all the changes, and always seemed to have a balanced point-of-view (at least from the time I started reading there). Also she seemed (to me) to have a live-and-let-live type of attitude, which I definitely think would be a plus for that position, if it came down to someone having to be there anyway. Actually there are a bunch of people who would fit that description and who would be equally cool, but she's the first one that came to mind.
I would have nominated noslave too, but then he would never talk to me again.
I moderate on a football (soccer) board. I follow a three-point plan:
1/. Interfere as little as possible.
2/. Try not to be too much of a dick.
3/. That's it.
It's technically a two-point plan, but you do need the third to remind people that there are only two, 'cause they expect them to come in threes. So it's a two-pronged trident - a 'bident'.
