Chris would have been a cook in a Seafood restaurant and he would be married with 6 kids.

I don't know what would have been of Eddie Vedder if Andy Wood didn't die. What would have been of Mother Love Bone??
The Beatles were turned down by 3 different record companies...

Sometimes I wonder if some people hadn't made it, would they be one of those people who refuse to give up for years and years. I know people who are not far off in age from Cornell who are still waiting for a break. Sometimes I am sad for them, but at the same time I admire that they are sticking to their guns.

My friends ex in his late 30's is with a band who has been signed to several labels had a few albums produced and some selling a bit, but could never seem to break to that next level. Meanwhile back at home his girl stuck with him 6 years. He kept saying that he didn't want to make the next move in his life (get more serious) until the band "made it". Now she's his ex. I think he put all of life on hold waiting for fame to happen.

I know another great guy who is the same. He's been in and out of a pretty good Metal band. When he is not in a band that tours he is the sound tech at Sunset strip clubs.

My POINT --- I wonder if CC would have had that drive that if SG never became what is was would he have put everything else on hold to keep trying no matter what? Or would he just have been happy with some limited success in Seattle and then opted out for that cooks job?
