Subject: Boy and Girls

O.K so 23 is having a baby (so is Trish) and I thought it would be fun to start a thread on some of the things he can look forward to. (yes I need some action here)

If he has a girl he can look forward to her loving daddy and princess dresses.

If he has a boy he can look forward to always having a buddy around and pee on the floor by the toilet. LOL

Boy: He can look forward to having a cloth diaper ready to absorb pee every single time they give him a bath! The minute a boys rear hits warm water, he'll pee for sure! I remember having that down to an art because I got sick of dumping out the water, cleaning the tub, and then trying all over again! :)

Girl: Sitting on his porch 16 years from now cleaning out a (borrowed) shotgun waiting for her first date.

Well, I have a little girl, and I have to say that every day with her is a joy and a journey! I look forward to seeing her grow into a responsible human being (it's really neat to see those every-day lessons "click").

Enough of that- I also love Halloween, birthday parties (especially bouncy houses), swimming in the summer, and I actually even enjoy the sassiness (I remember being there myself!)

Jen

Borrowed shotgun?

You mean I'd need something bigger than my double-barrelled 20-gauge?

We'll just have twins, a boy and a girl, and that way they can take care of each other.

I'm a genius!

Boys and peeing, you'll also get the pee that shoots straight up while you are changing their diappy.

Yeah I like what Jen said about Halloween and also Christmas (no more stocking stuffers for you big boy). Everything will now be seen through a kids eye. The museums, amusement parks, the sandbox (Doesn't Remind Me), etc.

Hopefully, you'll have twins. LOL

Judging by his first post about the pregnancy - Twan can look forward to teaching the young fella or lass how to roll joints, identify the best buds, pull cones and do bucket bongs...

And other cool stuff like how to drive a car...

Then maybe how to drive a car while pulling cones...

Ah the joys of parenting.

C.

I'm a child of the 70's and my dad smoked pot, never around me. I didn't know what it was until (Cheech and Chong movies) my friends introduced me to it, so I doubt twan is the parent who will smoking joints with his kid.

Whatever, Christian may have been joking.

I would definitely say Christian was joking!
I envision Twan sitting at the lake in a canoe, fishing with his son or daughter, smoking a joint, patiently teaching them how to bait a hook and cast. I picture his wife leaning back, sunbathing while the canoe drifts peacefully on the water. I see the water reflecting the sunshine brilliantly, like diamonds, in the warmth of day, submersed in their love.

(is that too much? that is what I see though) :)

Boy- tumbles and scrapes!!! My kiddo is really experiencing this right now as he learns to walk.

Girl- punk-ass boys trying to get in her pants. HA!

Either way, Twan, you have a lifetime of the most amazing love and joy that you will ever know. Going home after work everyday will take on a completely new meaning for you and so will leaving every morning.

Jeez people.

Am I that one-dimensional?

The guy who smokes weed?

I'm definitely not smoking with my kids. At least not until they're 18.

And I'm cutting way back on the stuff. Not just 'cause of the kid, but because I've been wanting to for quite some time and this is as good a milestone as any to spur my ass into gear.

"I'm definitely not smoking with my kids. At least not until they're 18."

~~~ That's if they start smoking it. If you disagreed with them doing it, you would be a hypocrit.
I wouldn't be a hypocrite. I didn't start smoking until I was 18.
There's real scientific evidence that states that doing drugs of any kind (including alcohol) before you're 18 can have adverse long-term effects on brain development. Just not something I think they should fool with.
Unfortunately, I don't know too many kids who wait till their adults and have stopped developing before they try drugs or drinking.
OOhh the joys of parenting, but I was talking about your comment about them being 18.
