Wife Zona has me busy for Spring clean up early. I've not had an opportunity yet for my annual viewing consisting of watching 3 FG serials, and I usually also include the 1980 movie, plus BR. I make notes...for the purpose of reminising, enjoyment, music included, and hunting for new material for quiz questions. Alas, my students have become quite keen. There is not much in the films untouched thus far. I will try though.

As for the music, indulge me in generalities for now as these are moreso favorites. An ideal source of information of course is this site itself, aptly named, with the various cues from various Universal films and other sources. There is not much that I dislike in the FG serials or BR, but generally speaking...and without getting into details, I'll indicate a few of my favorites, from classical, Universal horror, and others.

In no particular order (and there may be repetitions) my kudos for music from "The Black Cat" (often in FGTTM), also Clifford Vaughn's opener for '36 serial and its Foreward, a wandering type theme. Add also music from Bombay Mail, Pitz Palu, and of course Waxman's score for Bride of Frankenstein. A biggie especially for FGCTU>...the classical Les Preludes. There are others, which I may have non intentionally omitted....owing to the fumes of forgetfulness brought on by strong Pledge-O-Mongo furniture wax.

There will likely be a quiz of some type in the not too distant future if there is enough interest. Fans should study the archives, literature, films. Any requests will be considered.
