I found it odd how in FG '36, we see Barin quietly enter the serial approaching Zarkov at a console in Ming's palace. He has a rocketship yet parked outside, and easily takes Zarkov out of the palace. Now, how can this be? Is Ming so careless with security? He has televisors, guards, soldiers, and nobody notices?. Well, maybe we're just supposed to accept it, not analyze it.

Seems to me, Ming could've knocked Barin off many times but did not...oh, maybe threatened, and hoped, but he did not. Was it that he saved Barin for Aura? Was he guilty for doing away with Barin's father? Something unsaid perhaps? This is one of those kinda things where maybe we just don't know, and won't! Interesting to think about though. Hey...if Barin was finished off early, what would happen to the serial?
