"The monitors are picking up brain activity, the doctors say they think she might be able to recognize voices and hear things going on around her now even if she isn't fully awake and they still don't know the extent of the damage done to her brain." Courtney was actually still sleeping, the poor girl was exhausted and he was dozing off when Bambi and 'woofed' quietly, her eyes on Haylie and that had brought Skeeter to attention. The first thing he noticed was the small spikes on the monitor that had been a consistent flat line since Haylie got to the hospital. She bit her lip worriedly, watching Kyrian's expression to see any hint of what was going on as she silently prayed on everyone's behalf. She shifted to take Chase from Kyr, lifting the sleeping baby up to her chest to comfort him as he whimpered a little at being moved from his comfy spot against Uncle Kyrian's belly.
