(He shifted his weight imperceptibly as he watched her read over the letter, adjusting the dead weight of Chase against his chest. The baby had a way of falling asleep and becoming dead weight that made him laugh.. he could literally pick Chase up and move him around without him waking up. With a deep breath, he tried to calm the anxiety in him as he tried to figure out what the hell the department of defense wanted with his wif- em.. girlfriend. Her pursed his lips at his own thoughts.. he had gotten a wee bit carried away with the whole thinking about marraige and kids deal. As he listened to her relay the information, his jaw set and a muscle ticked near his left cheekbone, a dead giveaway that he was annoyed.. deeply annoyed. She was on leave. She had just gotten out of a coma. There was no way in hell they were sending her out on a mission, he didn't care who the hell this 'Shadow' person thougt they were.) No. (He said, shaking his head, his brows raising in an authoratative manner.. he wasn't suggesting, he was telling her that she wasn't going. This was bullshit. They could send one of the other agents, all of them were more than capable of pulling off this mission.)
