I couldn't agree with your message more. Since the inception of this horrific tragedy, I promised myself I would not succumb to two things: fear and hatred. Both are irrational and both are the very elements by which the Taliban keeps its own people oppressed.

I work as a number cruncher for health care and many people that I have worked with are Muslim or of Arabic descent. Now I go to work, to the store, to places where Arab-American citizens are and they look afraid of what I will do or say. How terrible for those people that have come here to make a better life and who work hard and participate in our economy. I feel sick when I hear stories of people chasing an Arab woman and her small children from a store in WY or shooting a local merchant. This is not what it means to be American.

While I understand the vituperation behind the "Bin Laden Sucks" sign, I would much rather see Old Glory hanging over someone's lawn.
