Subject: Alright....Fuckin' Ford What-The-Fucks....

J2 & I tore down the top end of that 292 last night. It appears that the lifters are as big around as a Bic pen with no room to get anything on them to pull them out. WTF?!?! Obviously not hydraulic, but they don't even really look like lifters at all. Any idea?

Also, the block has been punched out 0.040" over, and the flat top pistons read "903"...WTF?! Does this mean anything to anyone? I don't know shit about Fords.

And another thing....Appears that I have 4 burnt valves, the cylinder walls have a fresh hone, and the ends of the rings weren't filed down properly, so there's a little grooving where the top compression ring seats. The only thing I can think that they did was do a ring job from the bottom, and never pulled the heads. When she still didn't run right, they just quit.

She's still sitting in that cradle or we would have pulled the bottom end down too. Ask J2 how hard it is to pull a head off when you leave 1 bolt torqued down. =)

Oh, Riley, I'm gonna send J2 home with those 2 wheels. Go ahead and Paypal over $40 to hsheartaches@yahoo.com, and thanks for the business! heheheh
