Subject: No-See-Ums and red algae

We will be in Sanibel for the first time in late April. Will I get eaten alive? I am scared--I was mutilated in Punta Cana a few years ago... Also, is there typically red algae at this time of year? And, any restaurant recommendations? It is just my husband and I and we are in our early 30s. We haven't been away together (w/o the kids) in years, so anyplace FUN or ROMANTIC! :-) Thanks all!
