Spell of the Highlander!?! Hint about JB

This is in the Excerpt part for Spell on the web site and it just struck me as interesting. We know of the others looking for the book so could the Ancient Sorcerer be JB? He would know a great deal about a great deal and he spoke spells over Mac after the Dark Zone, wears a cuff. What do ya gals think? It doesn't explain all but it may show that Aoibheal knows about him, too?!?

[> Yes. I"ve studied this passage over and over. I was thinking that it was more likely that JB was the thief. We know that SOmebody broke into Lucan's London joint right after the conclusion of Spell, and JB was too late to get the thing he was looking for. I have the sneaking suspicion that the ancient sorcerer is one of the 5 that Queen Abby needs, and that we'll meet him later. But there is no reason for me to say these things. There is no proof. I keep reading it over and over, and while I see the number of times he threatens to kill Mac, I also see the kind things that he does. I'll go from thinking what a horrible thing to say to Fio (about her merely 'serving his needs') to hearing him tell Mac that he was the only one willing to take her on as a student, to try to help her survive.
