Learners' cognitive strategies

It has been assumed that language is largely related to culture and its acceptance by the learner depends on several aspects, for instance, her/his previous knowledge, social interaction, perception of the world and skills in the mother language. Therefore learners develp [sp] five different kinds of cognitive strategy in order to acquire fluency in a foreign language.
While studying they [v], conscious or unconscious, use techiniques [ww] sucha[sp] as clarification, asking the teacher and/or a classmate to clarify possible doubts and correct mistakes; guessing, trying to make inductive inference of the content; reasoning, getting to conclusions intelligently; practicing, resolving exercises that involve the four skills (listening, writing, speaking and reading); and memorizing, making efforts and associations to remember words and rules.
During the process of learning a target language [p] all learners make use of strategies and these do not help only students themselves, but also the teacher, who can observe the techniques used by advanced learners to help the weaker ones. In addition, language learning strategies are relevant because they are tools for students' self-monitoring and motivation and they are both important for developing the communicative competence.

Priscilla,
You should develop more your ideas. The developmental paragraph should contain one idea each. I suggest that you use more examples, quotations, etc. Your conclusion is very clear and logical. You should use more transitional signals between your paragraphs to connect your ideas. There is also important to put references.
