Just thought i would let everyone know who asked about Kyla's pink outfit that she wore at the pageant last sunday that its on ebay now, and a cute little Rockstar outfit that Ky never got to wear because it was to big, thats on there too, check them out, i started them out at .99, and my sister has a couple of her daughters dresses on there too. so just thought i would let everyone know =)

the rockstar outfit has 17 people watching it already so it must be cute =)

I wanted to let you all know that I still have openings available for hair and make-up for this weekends pageant.

5-up years (hair and make-up) $60

I will be arriving on Saturday evening to get hair pieces ready and to do tanning too if anyone is interested.

I was contacted by a mom tonight who is going to be coming to the Springfield pageant as a spectator. She is bringing her two sons and was very disappointed she missed the deadline. She asked if she could bring Valentines and how many children were entered. I just wanted to let those of you who are bringing Valentines know that there would be a few more children there if you wanted to include them. I am not requiring you to give Valentines out, nor am I telling you if you do you HAVE to give one to these children. I just didnt want anyone showing up saying "if I had known they were coming". Hey, this is Britta and I am putting together some things for Jessica and Candice. I will be collecting donations this weekend at the Compassionate Crowns Dekalb pageant. My mom will be at the Valentine Bratz pageant and would happily accept your donations there if you aren't coming to Dekalb.

I thought about some things that my sister and I might need if we were in the same situation, and I also thought how nice it would be to get some special treats.

Miss Joyce went shopping today and got them some stuff at Bath & Body Works. Jessica's scent is Japanese Cherry Blossom and Candice's scent is Sweet Pea. She also got them overnight bags to make it easier to keep their stuff together since they are moving around alot right now. THANK YOU MISS JOYCE =]

If you would like to help, please look over the list below and pick out some items to donate. Since my mom doesn't want me to post my email address, you can send her an email of what you plan to bring and she will forward it to me. I will send you an email to let you know I have you down on the list to bring your items.

Please don't feel pressure to participate. I just wanted to do something to help them out, and would appreciate any donations.

I've already received an email from some of you about these care packages for the girls. I think it's going to be a huge success and I would like to thank Britta for coming up with the idea.
I have purchased Japanese Cherry Blossom scent for Jessica and Sweet Pea for Candice.
They were running a special so I got them the body wash, body lotion and foaming hand sanitizers. I also picked up a couple of overnight bags to put everything in. I've had and email from one pm stating that when I send her the scents, she will pick up the body sprays for them so those are taken care of.
Now Britta is going to be putting together a list and email to send out to anyone and everyone that would like to help. Please list your email address below if you would like to be included on that list. We do not want anyone to feel pressured to help so you've got to help us out here and list emails. If you are not attending the pageants and still want to contribute, how about a small gift card or you could paypal a small donation to Angie to help with costs and ask her to pick something up on your behalf. If you have any questions regarding this please email Britta Thostrup at brittadance@hotmail.com (hope I got that right, Angie please correct it if I'm wrong). She initiated it and has volunteered to organize it as well.

Subject: Compassionate Crowns Information

I would like contestants to wear their jackets for crowning photos. You are welcome to wear whatever you like for crowning, but for our group photo please wear your jackets. You may want to wear jeans and a t-shirt, denim skirt, white skirt, or whatever you are wearing in your last event. I just want to give everyone a heads up so that you can bring something comfortable if you'd like. Jeans and a t-shirt will probably look best, but IT IS NOT REQUIRED.
I'm planning both pageants to begin around 11:00 and schedule will be posted to the web site by Monday. Schedules for both pageant will be the same.
If you emailed me yesterday and I havent responded, I had some technical problems and wasnt able to access email. I will get to them all today. If you need anything I am at home today with a sick kid.

America’s Beautiful Star “Pretty in Pink” Photo contest to Benefit Tammy Brown

Price to enter: a donation of your choice. All proceeds will go to Tammy.

Contest runs from January 1st till January 31st

We will have 3 separate contests
1 for Natural, 1 for glitz and one for composite

*The natural pictures must NOT be retouched. You may use a glitz style proof.

You do not have to be wearing pink just have a pink theme such as pink hearts, butterflys or flowers.

Pictures will be judged privately by pageant judges and will be displayed after the contest is over so everyone can see them.

When making your comments I ask that you use good judgement and consider how you would feel if someone said the same thing about your child or photo.
Keep in mind this was for Tammy, Jessica and Candice. Jessica reads these boards and I would not want to be ashamed of anything being said about this contest.

These are some great photos and judging will be difficult. Please be patient. I will notify winners via email!

This may be the last one. After the post made tonight on the blue board that basically implied I'm not giving the money I promised to the charities I've raised money for and the post that stated someone raised money for a pageant we are no longer having, I feel like I'm not trusted. I dont know any other director that does as much as I do for these kids and it breaks my heart to read that. Every other director pockets any profit and no one seems to have a problem giving them hundreds of dollars to compete in their system, but every time I attempt to bring something better to pageants, my motives are questioned. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and I'm sorry if you've felt cheated or like I've misrepresented myself and my system to you.

I also wanted to remind everyone that the deadlines to enter the pageants and photo contest are fast approaching! Be sure to get your pageant entries in early and avoid a late fee.
If everyone who says they are coming shows up we will have a great turnout at both Dekalb and Springfield. So who's coming? Please list your city and age group and lets get this role call going!

I still have hair and make-up openings at both Compassionate Crowns pageants in February.

My Dekalb schedule is nearly full, but I still have several openings for Springfield. If you would like to be added to my schedule, please email soon.

The prices are $40 for hair and very light make-up on ages 0-5, and $60 for hair and make-up on ages 6-up. I offer sibling discounts too. If needed, I will be available for tanning the Saturday night before each pageant. Tanning price runs $15.00.

I will be donating a portion of my fees to help Tammy, Jessica, and Candice.

The America's Beautiful Star Easter Eggstravaganza will be March 8th and will be held at Parkway By the Lake Banquets in Ingleside, IL. It's right on the lake so if it's nice we will have the Easter Egg hunt outside along the lake.

Okay ladies, I'm trying to finalize paperwork for ART state finals. I am shooting for June for the pageant, I'm sorry I haven't nailed down the date yet, but life has been quite hectic around here so bear with me. I have set up two pages for you to vote on the photo and stage optionals for the pageants. Please help me decide what you would like to compete in at State finals.
Also do you still like the idea of having natural and glitz the same weekend?

Candice Boldt and Jessica Alreds mother was in a severe car accident yesterday while on her way to work. She is in critical condition. Please send in your dd/ds birthdate today so I can add it to the pageant calendar that will be mailed out for the new year! Each childs birthdate will have their name on it and a photo of that child will be placed on the opposite page making a collage of all the children who share that birthday month!
Several have sent them already, but we need to fill the calendar. You DO NOT have to purchase one to be listed in it.
