I agree with both Julie and Pauline. It was a very poor script and would have been better to use it in a studio production, if at all. I have spoken to over a dozen people who saw the production. Some were very experienced BLT producers and actors, other were members of the general public. All expressed the opinion that it was a dreadful script and most said it was the worst play they had seen at BLT. for many years. I agree with those comments.
Also. I cannot agree with comments made by Katrina Wood about Amateur Theatre about providing an area for amateurs to indulge and have a good time etc, I also find it a bit condescending.
I think we should be aiming to produce quality productions, which means having a good script.
